Where do I go for my test?
The Testing Center is located in Hagan Hall across from the Hound Store. Testing Center staff will greet you and assist you in the testing process.
Why do I have to be tested for COVID-19?
To ensure the safety of the campus community, thetesting regimen is required for all students, faculty, and staff who will be on campus. Testing provides critical data and aids the University in identifying COVID-19 and managing the virus.
What are the hours for the Testing Center?
Please see the below information for the Testing Center's hours of operation.
- Monday/Wednesday 8:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday/Thursday 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Friday (Makeup tests, or unvaccinated only) 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why do I have to blow my nose prior to my test?
Blowing your nose prior to the test reduces the likelihood of an invalid test.
Is the test painful?
No, the test is a self-administered, minimal invasive swab of each nostril.
When will I get my results?
Test results are typically available 24 to 36 hours after testing for that day is complete (4 p.m.).
How will I get my results?
Negative test results will be sent via email from CareEvolve@LKNotification.com. A positive or invalid test result will be communicated via phone or a secure message from a member of Health Services.
What if my results are invalid?
If results come back invalid, you will be contacted by a member of Health Services. An invalid test result could be due to insufficient viral copies or by having foreign bodies in the sample.
What happens if I test is positive?
If you test positive, a member of Health Services will contact you and provide assistance regarding the next steps of care.
What happens if I miss my testing appointment?
If the appointment time is missed for the current day, please go to the Testing Center before 4 p.m. on that day. If the appointment day is missed, go to the Testing Center the following day and stop at the scheduling table to reschedule your appointments for the week. Remember, those who are tested twice per week, appointments need to be 48 hours apart.
If the second appointment of the week is missed, please send Health Services a secure message through the patient portal and make sure you attend your next scheduled appointment.
